The book was a fairly quick read. Overall, Michael and Steven's story was about finding yourself and realizing what is important in one's life. I thought Steven's occupation and life was interesting. I never really read anything with a Bull Rider before. So, I liked the little window into that world. Both Michael and Steven had insecurities and hang ups about getting into a relationship for different reasons. I think that they both overcame them a little too quickly to be realistic. I don't want to give anything away so I won't go into details but I think the story could have had a little bit more conflict or angst in regards to their hang ups. Also, I am not sure if their relationship was developed as well as it could be. It seemed a bit forced, like I wasn't sure if I believed it. The moments they did have together were sweet and nice but I wanted more. Overall, a fun, short and sweet story. I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.

This turned out to be a really good story. Michael is a warmhearted character and Steven a down to earth cowboy. Their story of meeting and getting to know each other and a coming out story was really nice. I definitely recommend this book. Cowboys and rodeos, injuries and physical therapy, friends to lovers, and a dash of angst! When Steven was injured he found out how quickly you can be replaced. He met Steven and became friends in a city where he doesn’t know anyone. Little by little friendship became more.It’s wonderfully written with beautiful characters. You immediately get immersed with the story and can’t put the book (iPad) down till the end.
